Yoga is a traditional healing method of India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the world aware of the importance of yoga and this healing method gained recognition and fame at the global level. Today, yoga is used in daily life in most countries of the world, asserted Guardian Minister Dr. Pankaj Bhoyar.
World Yoga Day was organized at the Taluka Sports Complex in Wardha in collaboration with the District Administration, Superintendent of Police Office, District Sports Officer Office, Education Officer Office, Health Department, My Bharat Kendra, Patanjali Yoga Samiti and various government offices, social institutions and organizations. The Guardian Minister was speaking at the time.
The program was attended by District Collector Vanmathi C, District Superintendent of Police Saurabh Kumar Agarwal, Mayor Sudhir Pangul, Additional District Collector Sanjay Teli, Additional Chief Executive Officer Suraj Gohad, Resident Deputy Collector in-charge Pratap Waghmare, District Sports Officer Asha Meshram, along with officers, employees, citizens, women, and students from various departments in large numbers.
The importance of yoga, which has a long tradition in the country, has been recognized by the whole world. It is not only a method of treatment but also a mantra for a fit body, health and happiness. Some institutions and organizations are working hard to promote and publicize yoga. The administration also needs to work to create awareness and convince the citizens of the importance of yoga. Every citizen needs to adopt yoga as much as possible in their real life. There is a water crisis expected this year. Therefore, everyone should start saving water and planning accordingly, said Guardian Minister Dr. Bhoyar while speaking further.
The World Yoga Day program organized in the scenic area of the Taluka Sports Complex near ITI Hill was attended by a large number of city officials, employees, women, children, students, especially senior citizens. Guardian Minister Dr. Pankaj Bhoyar, District Collector Vanmathi C and all the attendees performed group yoga asanas on this occasion. Patanjali Yoga Samiti's Damodhar Raut, Mohan Kale, Prashant Savarkar, along with explaining the importance of yoga, also had the attendees perform yoga asanas through demonstrations. Thousands of Wardhekars participated in the Yoga Day program with enthusiasm.
