U.S. launches 10th night of strikes on Iran

The United States launched strikes on Iran for the 10th consecutive night on Monday, as U.S. President Donald Trump said Iran would pay for the deaths of three U.S. service members.

The U.S. military said it completed its latest round of strikes on Iran late Monday, targeting Iranian military command centres, maritime capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and air defence systems.

Trump said in a social media post that Iran would pay "many times over" for the deaths of U.S. service members and that he had passed the directive to Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. The Pentagon also said nearly 100 U.S. service members have been injured over the past two weeks.

Meanwhile, Iranian media reported explosions in several locations, including the port areas of Chabahar and Konarak on the southeast coast, as well as Bandar Abbas and Qeshm.

Earlier in the day, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian declared a "full-scale war" with the United States. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said Iran had received mediation proposals and continued to keep diplomatic channels open.

Meanwhile, Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain said on Monday that they had intercepted Iranian aerial attacks.

The Jordan Armed Forces said in a statement that the interceptions caused no casualties or material damage, adding that the country remained on high alert and would respond firmly to any threats. Bahrain and Kuwait's defence forces also said their air defence systems intercepted and destroyed multiple Iranian aerial attacks against their territories.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations agency said a tanker was struck by an unidentified projectile in the Strait of Hormuz off the coast of Oman, a day after another vessel caught fire following an attack in the same area.

Iran has demanded that ships use a route along its coastline through the Strait of Hormuz and has repeatedly said that only the route designated by Tehran is safe.
