Tensions between the US and Iran have escalated once again. The US military has claimed that four Iranian drones approaching the Strait of Hormuz were neutralized and that action was taken against radar installations along the Iranian coast.

US Central Command stated that these drones posed an immediate threat to maritime traffic.

The US has accused Iran of attempting to impact global oil and gas supplies by exerting pressure in the Strait of Hormuz. It also noted that energy prices have risen against this backdrop.
