Establishment of Women PAC Battalions and Equestrian Statues
To institutionalize the legacy of these great female warriors and ensure their ideals serve as a permanent guiding light for Uttar Pradesh, the state government has accelerated the formation of three new women's Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) battalions. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath detailed that these specialized law enforcement units have been proudly named after iconic female freedom fighters to inspire future generations.
The new PAC battalion in Budaun has been named in honor of Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi, and the civil works for its establishment are nearing completion. Furthermore, the installation of a grand equestrian statue of the warrior queen at the battalion headquarters is in its final stages. Similarly, the construction of a women's PAC battalion named after the valiant Uda Devi Pasi is progressing on a war footing in Lucknow. In Gorakhpur, the establishment of a new battalion dedicated to Jhalkari Bai Kori is advancing rapidly. The Chief Minister confirmed that magnificent equestrian statues of these brave women will also be installed in their respective battalion campuses to continuously inspire the police forces with tales of their valor.
