Three earthquake tremors were felt within a span of two hours on Friday night in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, sparking panic among residents. The first and strongest tremor occurred at 10:04 PM, registering a magnitude of 5.0 on the Richter scale; people rushed out of their homes as a precautionary measure immediately after feeling it. Subsequently, a second tremor measuring 2.8 in magnitude was felt at 11:03 PM, followed by a third measuring 3.0 at 11:52 PM. Preliminary reports indicate that the epicentre of all three earthquakes was in the vicinity of the Chamba-Dharamshala region.

These successive tremors have created an atmosphere of fear among the public. However, as of the time of writing, there have been no reports of loss of life or property damage from any part of the district. The administration is monitoring the situation.
