The suspense surrounding Tamil Nadu politics has intensified further. Vijay, the chief of 'Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam' (TVK), met with Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar for the third time in an attempt to prove his claim to a majority; however, he has not yet received an invitation to form the government. According to sources, Vijay currently holds letters of support from only 216 MLAs, whereas 218 MLAs are required to form a government.

Meanwhile, S. Kamaraj—the AMMK MLA from Mannargudi, who had been reported missing—has returned to Chennai. This information was provided by TTV Dhinakaran. Speaking to the media, Dhinakaran clarified that the letter pledging unconditional support to the TVK—which had gone viral on WhatsApp and across various media platforms—is a fake. He revealed that the letter MLA Kamaraj had previously signed was, in fact, in support of making Edappadi Palaniswami the Chief Minister.

Dhinakaran further stated that the forged letter would be handed over to the police through Kamaraj for further investigation. The AMMK is a constituent party of the AIADMK-led NDA alliance. Kamaraj had been staying in Puducherry along with other AIADMK MLAs. Prior to this, TTV Dhinakaran had also lodged a complaint with the Governor regarding this very issue, demanding appropriate action.
