Raipur, May 16, 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the re-examination for the 'National Eligibility cum Entrance Test' (NEET-UG) 2026 will be conducted on June 21. Through a social media post, the agency has urged candidates and parents to rely solely on the NTA's official channels for information. The NEET examination—originally held on the 3rd of this month—was cancelled due to a paper leak; the investigation into this matter is currently being conducted by the CBI. To review the preparations for the upcoming NEET examination, a high-level meeting was convened on Thursday at the residence of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. During this meeting, various aspects regarding the smooth and effective conduct of the examination were discussed in detail. Several senior officials attended the meeting, including the Secretary of the Department of Higher Education, the Secretary of the Department of School Education, the Director General of the National Testing Agency (NTA), the Chairperson of CBSE, as well as the Commissioners of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. The NTA has informed that candidates may update their current address, as well as their first and second choice of cities for the examination center, according to their preference, until Thursday. The examination will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM.
