India A clinched the Tri-Nation A Series title with a 66-run victory over Sri Lanka A in the final played in Dambulla on Sunday.

Fifteen-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi emerged as the architect of India's triumph, smashing a blistering 94 off just 29 deliveries. His explosive knock included eight sixes and laid the foundation for a commanding Indian total. Sooryavanshi also registered the fastest half-century in List A cricket history, reaching the milestone in just 11 balls.

Captain Tilak Varma and Anukul Roy also made valuable contributions, helping India A post an imposing 377/9 in their allotted 50 overs.

In reply, Sri Lanka A were bowled out for 311 in 47.1 overs while chasing the daunting target of 378. Fast bowler Yash Thakur and spinner Vipraj Nigam starred with the ball for India, claiming three wickets each to dent the Sri Lankan batting line-up.

For Sri Lanka A, Sadeera Samarawickrama and Wanuja Sahan scored half-centuries and attempted to keep their side in the contest, but their efforts proved insufficient. India A eventually secured a comfortable 66-run victory to lift the Tri-Nation A Series trophy.
