Meanwhile, the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) has suffered a major setback. Six of the party's nine Lok Sabha MPs did not attend a crucial parliamentary party meeting, fueling speculation of a rebellion.

According to sources, these MPs are considering the possibility of seeking recognition as a separate faction and joining the Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde. This is being seen as the second major challenge facing the Uddhav Thackeray faction after the split in 2022. These developments have sparked fresh speculation within Maharashtra's political landscape.
