Equipped with modern amenities, the new terminal building will provide a smooth and comfortable travel experience for passengers. It will boost tourism, trade, and employment generation in the region.

Mr. Modi also launched the revised UDAN scheme, which will boost regional connectivity and the aviation sector. This significant development in the country's civil aviation landscape will strengthen the "Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik" initiative. With an allocation of ₹28,840 crore, the scheme aims to accelerate the next phase of aviation-led growth over the next 10 years.
