PM Modi welcomes US-Iran understanding on West Asia

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has welcomed the understanding reached between the United States and Iran to end the ongoing conflict in West Asia. He noted that the conflict has caused significant economic disruption across the world and resulted in the loss of lives in several countries.

Expressing hope for lasting peace, Prime Minister Modi said that the implementation of the understanding would help restore stability in the region and ensure the freedom of navigation and commerce.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister stated, “I welcome the understanding reached between the United States and Iran on ending the conflict in West Asia, which has caused serious economic disruption across the world and led to loss of life in many countries. India hopes that the implementation of this understanding will help restore peace and stability in the region and ensure the freedom of navigation and commerce. We look forward to deliberations on the remaining issues reaching a sustainable final agreement.”

India has consistently advocated dialogue and diplomacy as the way forward in resolving regional conflicts and maintaining peace and stability in West Asia.
