PM Modi hails Strong Diaspora Bond in Nice, France

Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a memorable welcome from the Indian community in Nice, France. Responding to the warm reception, PM Modi said that despite being several kilometres away from home, the bond between the Indian diaspora and India remains as strong as ever.

In a post on social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi wrote, “A memorable welcome from the Indian community in Nice. Though they may be several kilometres away from home, the bond of our diaspora with India remains as strong as ever.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Nice, France, on Saturday as part of his visit to France and Slovakia. The tour aims to strengthen India's engagement with Europe across strategic, economic, and technological sectors.

Upon his arrival, PM Modi was received by a delegation of senior French dignitaries, including Minister of Education Edouard Geffray, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Space Philippe Baptiste, and France's Ambassador to India.

The Prime Minister also received a warm welcome at his hotel, where chants of “Modi, Modi” echoed through the atmosphere as members of the Indian community gathered to greet him.

Adding to the celebrations, PM Modi was welcomed with a special cultural performance featuring three accomplished European artists trained in Indian classical dance traditions, highlighting the global appeal of India's rich cultural heritage.
