Due to continuous rainfall in the catchment area of Ujani and Veer dams, the water level of the dams is continuously increasing.

To control the water level of the dam, discharge has been released from Ujani and Veer dams. The water flow from the Chandrabhaga river basin is 1 lakh 5 thousand 979 cusecs at 5 pm and the Chandrabhaga river has crossed the warning level.

Chief Officer Mahesh Rokade said that the municipal administration is fully prepared to deal with possible flood situations. Citizens living along the Chandrabhaga river in Pandharpur city should be vigilant regarding safety.

Also, arrangements have been made for citizens to stay at Raigad Bhavan, Pandharpur through the municipal administration. Vehicles have been arranged through the municipal encroachment department to transport essential items to citizens affected by the possible flood situation.

Chief Officer Rokade also said that free food has been arranged for the displaced citizens through the Shri Vitthal Rukmini Temple Committee.

Mayor Praniti Bhalke and Deputy Mayor Mahadev Dhotre have also appealed to the citizens of the Chandrabhaga River to cooperate by following the instructions given by the administration during the flood situation.
