To further strengthen rail connectivity between Maharashtra and Konkan region, Indian Railways has approved the launch of a new regular express train service between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mumbai and Sawantwadi Road.

This daily express service, covering a distance of about 510 km, will serve thousands of passengers travelling for tourism, education, employment, business and social purposes. This service will provide direct, convenient and reliable rail connectivity between Mumbai and major cities in Konkan.

This train service will run daily as **Train No. 15087 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus–Sawantwadi Road Express** and **15088 Sawantwadi Road–Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Express**.

This train will stop at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Savarda, Aravalli Road, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adawalli, Waliwade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal and Sawantwadi Road stations.

The new train service will facilitate travel between the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and important parts of South Konkan. This service will be beneficial for tourists visiting the beaches, historical forts, temples and tourist attractions of Konkan.

Apart from this, students, traders, small entrepreneurs and regular commuters will have another direct travel option between Mumbai and Konkan, which will also boost regional economic development.

This new daily express service will be a significant step towards Indian Railways' goals of enhancing passenger convenience, expanding rail connectivity and accelerating balanced regional development.
