Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan chaired a high-level meeting to review preparations for the upcoming NEET-UG re-examination, scheduled for June 21, 2026. Senior officials from the Ministry of Education, various state governments, the National Testing Agency (NTA), and higher education institutions across the country participated in the meeting.

Education Secretary Sanjay Kumar, Higher Education Secretary Vineet Joshi, and NTA Director General Abhishek Singh were also present. Officials held detailed discussions regarding exam preparations, security arrangements, and planning. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan emphasized maintaining the highest standards of transparency, fairness, and efficiency in the examination process.

He directed all concerned agencies to remain vigilant and ensure that the examination is conducted in a completely peaceful and fair atmosphere. He stated that officials appointed by the Ministry would visit all states to coordinate exam-related activities and submit reports to the command center led by the NTA Director General. Essential facilities, such as seating arrangements and drinking water, will be ensured to prevent any inconvenience to students during the exam.

NTA Director General Abhishek Singh informed that the security and smooth conduct of the examination are being ensured through the cooperation of district administrations, the police, and intelligence agencies. The meeting covered all critical aspects in detail, including exam preparations, security protocols, grievance redressal mechanisms, and adherence to guidelines. A total of 222 participants from across the country attended the meeting (both in-person and virtually) and pledged their full cooperation for the successful conduct of the examination.
