The CBI has filed a chargesheet against 13 people arrested in the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case. The accused have been charged with criminal conspiracy, cheating, destruction of evidence and violation of the 'Prevention of Corruption Act' and the 'Public Examinations (Prevention of Improper Means) Act'.

The chargesheet includes 360 witnesses, 422 documents and 43 important pieces of evidence. All 13 accused are currently in judicial custody. After the case was registered on May 12, 2026, the investigating agency conducted raids at 92 locations and seized important evidence including digital devices.

According to the CBI, the entire chain of events from the source of the paper leak to the candidates who benefited from it has been exposed. Several people have been arrested in this case, including three subject experts (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) from the NTA.

The bank accounts, lockers and demat accounts of the accused were frozen during the investigation. The CBI said that further investigation and forensic analysis are underway and strict action will be taken against the culprits.
