NEET-UG 2024 paper theft case: No evidence of Sanjeev Mukhiya's role

The CBI has found no evidence to prove Sanjeev Mukhiya's involvement in the NEET-UG 2024 paper theft case. The CBI stated that in 2024, the Bihar Police detected the NEET-UG paper theft and registered a case. A CBI spokesperson said, "Sanjeev Mukhiya was initially suspected of involvement in the theft because he was found to be involved in some other cases of paper theft or leak. On this basis, the Bihar Police named him as an accused in the FIR. The case was later handed over to the CBI."

During the investigation, the agency identified "every person" involved in stealing the question paper and further distributing it, as well as everyone who benefited from it. The CBI filed multiple chargesheets against 45 people in a Patna court.

During the investigation, the CBI found no evidence to support Sanjeev Kumar, also known as Sanjeev Mukhiya, in stealing or distributing the NEET-UG 2024 question paper. The CBI stated that the matter was clearly established in 2024. The current claims of deliberately excluding him are factually incorrect.
