The NEET paper leak case, which is in the news across the country, also had repercussions in Shegaon, Buldhana district. On Tuesday, students from Shegaon city and taluka came together to protest against the alleged paper leak case in the NEET exam and the action taken against the protesting students and staged a protest march against the administration.

Shegaon city was rocked by slogans like “Students must get justice”. The march started from the historic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk in Shegaon city. Hundreds of students from the city as well as rural areas participated in the march enthusiastically.

The march, which started from the main road, reached the tehsil office. At this time, the students held placards with various demands in their hands and protested against the education system and the role of the administration.

The students demanded a fair investigation into the NEET paper leak case, strict action against the culprits and immediate justice for the students. They also condemned the alleged lathi-charge and beating of protesting students.

The students also demanded that Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan should resign, accepting moral responsibility for the matter.

Meanwhile, not limited to academic issues alone, students in Shegaon also supported the movement of famous social worker and environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk from Ladakh.

After reaching the tehsil office, the students raised slogans against the government's policies and presented a memorandum of their various demands to the tehsildar.

The students also warned that if justice is not provided to the students in time, the agitation will be intensified.
