Relentless monsoon rains and strong winds continued to lash Maharashtra on Monday, disrupting normal life and forcing the adjournment of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis assured the House that the government is on high alert amid unusual weather patterns and urged people to avoid unnecessary travel.
