Maharashtra-Aggreko India Agreement: ₹400 Crore Investment in Pune

A significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today in Mumbai between the Government of Maharashtra and Aggreko India, in the presence of the State Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis. Under this agreement, an investment of approximately ₹400 crore will be made over the next 10 years at Phulgaon in Pune, generating around 1,000 direct jobs. Pune is rapidly emerging as a key hub for Global Capability Centers. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis assured that the government would extend its fullest cooperation regarding all necessary permits and administrative matters related to this project.

This agreement will place a strong emphasis on energy efficiency, sustainable technologies, carbon emission reduction, and the proliferation of temperature control systems. Furthermore, this project will provide a significant opportunity to integrate the state's Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) into the global supply chain.
