Kuwait, Bahrain Army Alert

Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain issue alerts amid the escalating tensions in West Asia.

Amid a rapidly evolving situation in West Asia and the Gulf region, Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain issued alerts as air defence systems intercept aerial targets.

Kuwaiti Army said that its air defences intercepted hostile aerial targets and urged people to adhere to safety and security instructions.

Kuwait reopened its airspace to commercial traffic on Thursday after the latest volley of Iranian attacks caused a brief shutdown. Iranian media also reported that US Embassy in Jordan urged American citizens across the country to seek overhead cover and shelter in place after reports of missiles, drones or rockets in Jordanian airspace.

Meanwhile, air raid sirens were activated again in Bahrain, and its defence systems intercepted air attacks from Iran.

Bahrain's Interior Ministry urged citizen to remain calm, head to the nearest safe location, and follow updates through official channels.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said early on June 11 that it had launched counter-attacks on 18 U.S. military targets at airbases in Bahrain and Kuwait.

CENTCOM announced that it carried out additional self-defence strikes against multiple targets in Iran at the Commander in Chief's direction.

These were launched against Iranian military surveillance capabilities, communication systems, and air defence sites across Iran. It added that the strikes were in response to Iran's unwarranted and continued aggression
