Due to the continuous rains for the last three-four days, the water level of the Kundalika river flowing through Roha taluka of Raigad district has increased significantly and the river has crossed the danger level. With the Meteorological Department predicting heavy rains for the next 24 hours, the water level of the river is likely to increase further.

In view of the possible flood situation, the Raigad district administration and disaster management system have been alerted and necessary preventive measures have been taken. The administration is continuously monitoring the situation in the villages along the river.

The district administration has appealed to the citizens of all the villages on the banks of the Kundalika river to be alert. Citizens have been appealed to avoid going near the riverbed, not trying to cross the water flow and to strictly follow the instructions of the administration.

The administration has also clarified that if any danger is felt or an emergency situation arises, citizens should immediately contact the local administration, revenue department, or disaster management agency.
