Union Railway Minister and Minister of Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw inspected metro services today during his visit to Kolkata. Upon arriving at the airport, he traveled on the 'Yellow Line' metro from the 'Jai Hind' metro station and interacted with passengers during the journey. Subsequently, he visited the 'Noapara' metro station and reviewed passenger amenities as well as the operational systems of the metro service.

He stated that 60 new metro trains would be introduced over the next five years, thereby providing better facilities to passengers.
