In a social media post, President Murmu noted that the unparalleled bravery, unwavering resolve and patriotism of the soldiers is a great example of the glorious tradition of the Indian Armed Forces. He said that this heroic story of the soldiers will continue to inspire dedication and sense of duty towards the country.

Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan said that the nation salutes the brave soldiers whose extraordinary courage, determination and supreme sacrifice made India's historic victory in the Kargil War possible.

He noted that this victory is a testament to India's military strength, national unity and unwavering commitment to the defense of the motherland.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the valour shown by these brave soldiers, even in the most difficult circumstances, will always remain a source of national pride. Their patriotism and devotion to duty will continue to inspire future generations, the Prime Minister added.
