Amid optimism over a peace deal, Iran launched multiple one-way attack drones in an attempt to strike commercial ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

U.S. forces have downed all of the drones in recent hours, while traffic flow through the strait continues unimpeded. The international trade corridor remains open for transit.

The conflict began on February 28 and has severely disrupted shipping through the strait, a narrow waterway between Iran and Oman through which 20% of the world’s oil and gas flowed before the war.
