* Priority IV: Adaptation and Climate Resilience: Advancing traditional knowledge systems and community-centric adaptation frameworks to bolster global climate resilience.

The upcoming physical deliberations in New Delhi follow a series of technical consultations, webinars, and expert dialogues held from March to July 2026, which covered resource efficiency, carbon markets, land degradation, and wildfire management.
Originally established in 2015 during the inaugural BRICS Environment Ministers' Meeting in Moscow, the BRICS Environment Working Group has evolved into a vital multilateral body for emerging economies.
