At the 62nd session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), India took a strong stance against Pakistan's false propaganda and its policy of promoting terrorism. Anupama Singh, First Secretary of India's Permanent Mission in Geneva, exercised the right of reply to respond to Pakistan's allegations.

He said that a country that exports terrorism cannot expect to benefit from agreements based on goodwill and friendship. India also commented on the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty, saying it is outdated in light of current realities.

Anupama Singh said that no technical agreement can be irreversible forever. She stressed that the agreement cannot be maintained while ignoring the major changes that have occurred over six decades and Pakistan's accountability. India's comments reflect its tough stance on cross-border terrorism and bilateral agreements.
