India, Bhutan review bilateral development progress

Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met the King of Bhutan to discuss bilateral development cooperation following the co-chairing of the 5th India-Bhutan Development Cooperation Talks in Thimphu.

The talks reviewed India's ₹10,000 crore commitment to Bhutan's 13th Five-Year Plan. The Talk focused on project-tied assistance, economic stimulus, and community development projects funded by India.

The King of Bhutan appreciated the progress and briefed the Foreign Secretary on developments at Gelephu Mindfulness City. He also reiterated his support for strengthening bilateral ties.
