The Ministry of Textiles will organize the 'GI and Beyond 2.0' Summit in New Delhi on Wednesday. The objective of the summit is to showcase India's GI-tagged handloom and handicraft products. Also, the summit will help promote handicraft products and strengthen their position in the domestic and international markets. Minister of State for Textiles Pavitra Margherita will inaugurate the event.

The conference will be attended by buyers from around 10 countries, exporters and representatives of multinational companies from across the country. Over 100 GI-registered handloom and handicraft products from across the country will be showcased.

The event will also include thematic exhibitions showcasing India's diverse weaving traditions, as well as live demonstrations of handloom weaving and handicrafts.
