France: Prime Minister Modi will participate in the G7 summit today.

As part of the third leg of his two-nation tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Évian, France, from Slovakia today to participate in the G-7 summit. French President Emmanuel Macron will welcome him.

Subsequently, Prime Minister Modi will participate in a session themed 'Forging New Partnerships and Rebuilding International Solidarity.' Leaders from G-7 nations, heads of partner countries, and representatives from the World Bank and the African Development Bank will also take part in this session.

Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will hold bilateral discussions with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

India is participating in the G-7 summit not merely as an invitee, but as a powerful voice of the 'Global South' (a group of developing nations). This marks India's 13th participation in the G-7 summit, and Prime Minister Modi is attending the event for the seventh consecutive time.
