The Bombay High Court today directed doctors in the state to immediately call off the strike and resume work.

The bench headed by acting Chief Justice Ravindra Ghuge also assured that they would listen to the side of these doctors. Following the court's direction, the Indian Medical Association assured to call off the strike. The court had taken cognizance of the strike on its own.

The court also warned that if the doctors refused to work, their salaries would be stopped. The court asked who would take responsibility if a patient died in a municipal hospital during the strike.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis assured that the state government will follow the directions of the Bombay High Court regarding the strike called by doctors over the issue of registration of homeopathic doctors.
