Delhi Police Bust ISI-Linked Arms Smuggling Network

Delhi Police Special Cell has busted an inter-state terror and arms smuggling network allegedly backed by Pakistan’s ISI, arresting four accused persons from Punjab and Delhi.

The first arrest was of Shubhdeep Singh in Amritsar, Punjab. A semi-automatic pistol, five live cartridges, and two mobile phones were recovered from him. Two other accused were also arrested from Punjab, while one was arrested from Delhi.

The investigation revealed that the accused were in contact with an alleged ISI handler, Shahzad Bhatti, and his associates, communicating through foreign phone numbers.

The probe also allegedly found that Pakistani handlers had assigned him the task of conducting reconnaissance of religious places, police stations and police pickets in Delhi, and carrying out firing attacks on those locations.
