Some G7 leaders along with French President Emmanuel Macron, host of this year's G7 summit, arrived in the French lakeside town of Evian ahead of the opening of the 3-day meeting on Monday.

Leaders from Britain, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan and the USA are expected to join the summit, along with the invited representatives from several other countries.

Macron said that the G7 leaders will discuss West Asia conflict, while also focusing on regional stability.

The summit is expected to address a broad range of global issues, including security, economic cooperation and international stability, as world leaders seek coordinated responses to evolving geopolitical challenges.

Meanwhile, thousands of demonstrators gathered in Geneva on June14, to protest against the upcoming G7 summit of world leaders taking place across Lake Geneva in France.

Clashes erupted between the protesters and police during a demonstration, with authorities using crowd-control measures as tensions intensified.

Property damage was also reported, with shop windows smashed, a bus stop destroyed and broken glass scattered across the ground.
