Project BRAHMANK of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) marked its 16th Raising Day at Ranaghat, Arunachal Pradesh, highlighting its contribution towards strategic infrastructure development and connectivity in the region.

The project is responsible for the construction and maintenance of strategic road networks across Siang, East Siang, West Siang, Upper Siang and Shi-Yomi districts of Arunachal Pradesh, along with parts of Dhemaji district in Assam.

Project BRAHMANK maintains 811 kilometres of roads and around 86 bridges, including major engineering structures such as the 100-metre steel arch bridge over Siyom Nallah and the 165-metre PSC bridge over Simang Nallah.

During 2025-26, the project completed the inauguration of 13 bridges with a cumulative span of 390 metres and blacktopped 61 kilometres of roads to NHDL specifications.

The project, raised on June 29, 2011, has played a key role in improving connectivity for the Armed Forces and remote communities despite challenging terrain and weather conditions.
