A special meeting was held at the Sahyadri Guest House, presided over by Deputy Chief Minister and senior Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde, to resolve the strike by BEST employees. Several significant decisions were reached following positive discussions regarding the strengthening of the BEST undertaking and the various demands of the employees.

During the meeting, it was decided to disburse the employees' outstanding gratuity amounts within the current financial year. Additionally, approval was granted for an interim wage hike—pending a new wage agreement—of ₹3,000 per month for permanent BEST employees and ₹2,000 per month for employees on the waiting list.

Furthermore, a decision was made to procure 5,000 new BEST-owned buses over the next three years to strengthen Mumbai's public transport system. Eknath Shinde also stated that the 'Kayapalat' (Transformation) proposal prepared by the BEST administration would be immediately submitted to the state government, and necessary steps would be taken to secure Cabinet approval for it.

Following these decisions, the BEST Employees' Action Committee announced the withdrawal of the ongoing strike.

The meeting was attended by Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik, MLA Sachin Ahir, MLA Murji Patel, Additional Chief Secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister Aseem Gupta, Principal Secretary Navin Sona, BMC Commissioner Ashwini Bhide, BEST General Manager Sonia Sethi, and office-bearers of the BEST Employees' Action Committee.
