Bengal Elections: Vote counting will begin tomorrow morning at 8 AM.

The counting of votes for the West Bengal Assembly elections will commence tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM. Following a voting process conducted in two phases, votes will be counted for all constituencies, with the exception of the 'Falta' constituency.

The Election Commission has deployed a stringent security apparatus across the entire state. A total of 77 counting centers have been established statewide, where a substantial contingent of Central Security Forces has been deployed. A multi-layered security mechanism has been implemented at every center to safeguard the 'Strong Rooms' (the rooms housing the ballot boxes); this includes CCTV surveillance, the presence of magistrates, and joint patrols by the police and central forces.

Prohibitory zones have been declared in the vicinity of the counting centers. Additional security forces will be stationed in sensitive areas, and the 'Rapid Action Force' has been kept on standby to tackle any untoward incidents.

A record voter turnout of 92.93% was recorded in this election—marking the highest polling percentage in the state's history. A neck-and-neck contest is anticipated between the TMC and the BJP in this election.
