Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw conducted a high-level review of the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) recruitment process. During a meeting with senior officials, emphasis was placed on making the recruitment process more transparent, accurate, and technology-driven. The Railway Minister reviewed the progress of conducting departmental examinations entirely through the 'Computer-Based Test' (CBT) mode and directed the expansion of the 'tablet-based' examination system wherever feasible to make the recruitment process faster, more efficient, and convenient for candidates. The meeting also highlighted the need to further strengthen the multilingual examination system. To maintain candidates' trust in the recruitment process, the Railway Minister instructed the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) to ensure effective communication with candidates and to promptly refute any misinformation regarding recruitment. Indian Railways has completed the recruitment process for 43,781 candidates out of 47,084 vacancies across six major categories for the 2025-26 financial year. Indian Railways is committed to implementing a fair and merit-based recruitment process—grounded in technology, systematic planning, and continuous improvement—for the benefit of young candidates across the country.
