The Mumbai Police's anti-narcotics squad has arrested two people from Mumbai in a major operation. In this operation, 681 grams of Mephedrone, or MD drugs, worth about Rs 2 crore, have been seized from the accused.

The operation was carried out last night in the Chembur area of Mumbai. The anti-narcotics squad carried out the operation based on information received as part of the ongoing campaign by the police to prevent the sale and smuggling of drugs.

The police detained two suspects and searched them, finding mephedrone in their possession. The value of the seized drugs is estimated to be Rs 2 crore, police said.

A case has been registered at RCF police station in this regard, and further investigation is underway to trace the contacts of the accused, the source of the drugs, and its distribution network.

Action against drug trafficking and sales has been intensified in Mumbai, and special teams are continuously taking action to curb such misdeeds.
