Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary transferred pension amounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the bank accounts of beneficiaries under social security pension schemes through video conferencing. A live broadcast of the event was organized at the Kargil Vijay Sabha Bhawan at the Begusarai district headquarters.

Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Akash Chaudhary, Assistant Director (Social Security Cell) Neha Kumari, and a large number of social security pensioners participated in the event and watched the live broadcast.

According to the district administration, a total of ₹26.67 crore was transferred via DBT to the bank accounts of 232,060 beneficiaries in Begusarai district under social security pension schemes for May 2026. All eligible beneficiaries received the pension payment at the rate of ₹1,100 per person.

The administration clarified that the pension amount was transferred only to the accounts of beneficiaries who had successfully completed their life certification by May 2026. The objective of this initiative is to deliver the benefits of social security schemes to the needy in a transparent and timely manner.
