Amit Shah launches FCRA 2.0, e-OCI Card

Home Minister Amit Shah launches FCRA 2.0 Portal and e-OCI Card in Delhi, aiming to digitise services, simplify compliance and improve delivery.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday launched the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act 2.0 (FCRA 2.0) Portal and the Electronic Overseas Citizen of India (e-OCI) Card in New Delhi.

In his address, Amit Shah said that both initiatives will significantly enhance convenience for citizens and improve service delivery.

The e-OCI Card is designed to benefit over 50 lakh OCI cardholders by digitising OCI-related services. It enables online applications, digital card issuance, 24/7 mobile access, and eliminates the need for physical visits and new system will make visa processes simpler and more convenient.

Meanwhile, the FCRA 2.0 Portal aims to simplify compliance, strengthen monitoring and enforcement. All key processes, including applications, renewals, have now been fully digitised.
