Spirit Airlines, a low-cost carrier based in the United States, has announced the suspension of its flight operations after 34 years. The airline operates hundreds of flights daily and employs approximately 17,000 staff members. The company has clarified that the process of phasing out its flight services has commenced with immediate effect.

Previously, Spirit Airlines had filed for bankruptcy on two separate occasions. The company stated that, in light of the surge in oil prices resulting from the conflict with Iran, it had become impossible to sustain flight operations. The airline further announced that all its scheduled flights have been cancelled, and customer service support is no longer available.
