In a major operation conducted in Delhi, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has busted an international gold smuggling racket. During the operation, 15 kg of foreign-origin gold worth approximately ₹21.40 crore was seized. The gold had been consigned to a company linked to a foreign national.

A foreign national, identified as the mastermind, has been arrested in connection with the case.

Investigations revealed that cryptocurrency was being used for cross-border transactions within this smuggling network.

The DRI is now conducting a thorough investigation into the entire international network and the channels used for financial transactions.
