14 killed in suicide blast in Pakistan's Swat

At least 14 people were killed and 18 injured in a suspected suicide bombing outside a police station in the Kabul area of Swat district in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on August 2. According to local police officials, it was a suicide bombing and the case is under investigation.

Swat District Police Officer Mohammad Umar Khan confirmed the incident and said that a search operation has been launched to trace the perpetrators and their accomplices. Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow and grief over the incident.

The attack comes at a time when there has been a sharp increase in terrorist activities in Pakistan's border areas, with terrorist groups mainly targeting the army and police. The Pakistani government has blamed the Afghan Taliban for the increasing violence and for supporting the terrorists, but the Taliban government has denied these allegations.
