Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik has warned that legal action will be taken if rickshaw and taxi drivers in the state cannot speak even a little Marathi from August 15th.

The Marathi language training campaign launched for Amritsar drivers has received a good response, and so far more than one lakh drivers have completed the training. Sarnaik informed that certificates will be distributed to the drivers who have completed the training on August 17.

Marathi is not just a language of communication, but the soul of Maharashtra's culture. Sarnaik said that this initiative was implemented with the feeling that everyone earning a living in Maharashtra should respect the Marathi language, culture and identity.

Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik also appealed to the remaining Amarathi commercial passenger vehicle drivers to complete Marathi language training before August 15 and take advantage of this opportunity.
