Traffic on the Pune-Mumbai Connecting Link Road (Missing Link) has been restored. Despite adverse conditions like heavy rain, gusty winds and low visibility, teams of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) worked continuously to make the road safe.

Before the road was reopened, the affected area was completely cleared of soil, rocks, and other debris. The entire road was then cleaned with the help of specialized machinery.

In addition, technical experts conducted a detailed safety inspection of Tunnel No. 2 as well as the adjacent slopes. Although the drone survey was hampered by bad weather, heavy rain and dense fog, all necessary technical inspections and safety procedures were completed.

Traffic was restored only after all technical checks were completed and the route was confirmed to be safe.

Meanwhile, the administration has appealed to citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during the monsoon, strictly follow the instructions of the transport department, and drive safely.
