Three female Warkari women died on the spot and four Warkari men were injured in an accident when a tempo hit a Warkari woman's Dindi near Jejuri in Pune district. The injured Warkari men are undergoing treatment in the hospital.

The accident is reported to have taken place this morning near Belsar junction on Jejuri road. The accident took place during the procession of the warkaris who were leaving for Pandharpur. After the accident, the injured were rushed to the hospital with the help of the local administration and citizens.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar visited the Jejuri Rural Hospital and questioned the injured Warkari. She also visited some seriously injured women at a private hospital and inquired about their condition.

Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar paid tribute to the Warkaris who died in the accident and consoled their families. She said that the safety of the Warkaris who set out on the path of Pandhari with devotion is the collective responsibility of everyone.

The Deputy Chief Minister appealed to drivers to take special care on the road, control their speed, and prioritize the safety of commuters and other passengers.

Meanwhile, the administration is investigating the causes of the accident and is providing all necessary treatment and assistance to the injured pilgrims.
