The Central Government has transferred the first installment of ₹25 crore to the State Government out of the ₹90 crore sanctioned for the Fencing Scheme. Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi shared this information during a review meeting held in Dehradun.

Ganesh Joshi directed officials to ensure the 100% utilization of the available funds while simultaneously ensuring that the benefits of this scheme reach the maximum number of farmers. He noted that this fencing scheme plays a crucial role in protecting farmers' crops from damage caused by wildlife and stray animals.

During the meeting, the Agriculture Minister also emphasized the need for the effective and successful implementation within the state of the 'Khet Bachao Abhiyan' (Save the Fields Campaign), which is being conducted nationwide until June 30. He directed officials to ensure the active participation of Members of Parliament (MPs), Ministers, Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs), and local public representatives in the programs organized under this campaign, so that information regarding both the scheme and the campaign reaches a large number of farmers.
