On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the revered Rajmata Ahilyadevi Holkar, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited Choundi—Ahilyadevi's birthplace located in the Ahilyanagar district—and paid his tributes to her. Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar also offered her homage on this occasion.

Speaking to the media at Choundi, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that, following Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Rajmata Ahilyadevi Holkar set an exemplary standard of excellent administration and people-centric governance before the nation. He further noted that, despite facing numerous invasions, she successfully kept Hindu identity and the Sanatan Dharma alive and vibrant.

Furthermore, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis affirmed that his government's steadfast stance has consistently been to ensure justice for the Maratha community.

He made these remarks while responding to questions posed by the media at Choundi in the Ahilyanagar district. During this interaction, he also clarified that the government is taking decisions regarding issues concerning the Maratha community with a positive and sensitive approach.
