The first round of the palanquin ceremony of Saint Tukaram Maharaj, who was leaving for Pandharpur for the Ashadhi festival, was held today in a devotional atmosphere at Belwadi in Indapur taluka.

On this occasion, a large number of Warkaris were present and enjoyed the Ringan ceremony, chanting 'Gyanba Tukaram'. Cultural Minister Ashish Shelar, Minister Dattatray Bharne and leader Harshvardhan Patil also participated in the palanquin ceremony and experienced the Warkaris.

The palanquin of Sant Tukaram Maharaj will stop at Nimgaon Ketki today. The palanquin of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj will stop at Phaltan, while the palanquin of Sant Sopankaka Maharaj will stop at Baramati today.

Warkaris from all over the state are participating with great enthusiasm in this devotional festival of Ashadhi Wari.
