The Supreme Court has refused to grant an interim stay on the CBSE policy that mandates the study of two regional languages ​​in Classes 9 and 10.

A bench headed by Chief Justice Suryakant has issued a notice to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), seeking a response to the petitions challenging this policy.

The Court observed that, at this stage, there appear to be no concrete grounds to grant an immediate stay on the policy; consequently, the Court will not intervene at present. However, having admitted the matter for consideration, the Court has scheduled further hearings.

The next hearings in this case are scheduled for July 15 and 16.
